Taverham Mill

(Last visited September 2020)

I never tire of this place. Covid has meant the blue route we usually take around the lake is now closed for walkers and just open for fishing, so we had to take the longer red route for the first time… Although it is lovely, it’s not quite as magical as the lake. It’s worth noting that this route becomes muddier in the autumn and winter though, so you’ll need your wellies and pushchairs are likely to struggle.

The first section of the red route runs alongside the River Wensum which is stunning. The second section is woodland which offers all sorts of distractions for kids. It is also beautiful in the autumn when the leaves turn. Lots of nuts starting to fall for treasure collections! Although you can’t walk the blue route at the moment, you can still catch glimpses of the beautiful lakes
