I absolutely love it here. Both can be found along a really accessible stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path and are fantastic if you’re into your nature. At Holme there is the nature reserve, with a coffee shop, toilets, car park and access to the beach. The coast path here has a few boards missing here and there and some slightly sandy stretches, which might make it a bit tricky for some pushchairs, although our off road one was okay.
A bit further down the road is the amazing Thornham. There’s a Coastal Treasures 2.5 mile heritage circular walk (see the Coastal Treasures site – note there’s currently a diversion). Unfortunately the boardwalk section is too narrow for pushchairs but it’s a lovely one for little legs. It also joins up with the coast path, which can be reached from the village for an out and back walk with a pushchair via Staithe Lane.
Some amazing places for refreshments including the Thornham Deli, the Lifeboat Inn and Drove Orchards and the play area at the village hall is ace. Parking at the village hall just asks for an honesty donation (PE36 6LX).
Fantastic area to explore and find your own favourite bit.
