Sloughbottom Park is along the Marriott’s Way and is a great park for a family walk or play. It also has a BMX park. And we were treated to some cracking, late afternoon, autumn skies.
We did a 1.5 mile walk across the park and hopped over the other side of the Marriott’s Way to the ‘bijou’ Wensum Nature Reserve where we stood watching people paddle board along the Wensum and had a game of Pooh sticks on the bridge a bit further along, before heading back to the (quite boggy already!) reserve area. There’s not a huge amount to see, but it was a nice loop to do (despite the bumper nettle growth in places). Starting and finishing with the play area was a hit!
